It's freezing cold this morning again. The present temperature is 8 degrees Celsius, but I feel
a little colder than that. I haven't started working in Ebina City again yet. I'm very sorry for my
ex-wife and her mother who have to go to work under this cold weather. I wish if they wouldn't
hesitate to ask me to drive them to the station. I'd be happy to because I've got nothing to do
now. I think I'll be start working at a junior high school in Ebina City as a part-time teacher for
only a limited length of time. They say I'll be working from April to July. First time I got a phone
call from them this January, they said they were sorry because it was such a short-time job.

　I started working in a junior high school in Ebina City in August, 2020 and quit working at the
end of April last year because of the poor health at that time. They were in trouble because they
had to look for another English teacher instead of me. So I didn't understand why they gave me
a phone call again to ask if it was possible to work in Ebina again. If I had been a person in
charge, I would never have asked me to come and work in Ebina again. Do they want to give me
a trouble by giving me a short-time job this time? Do I want to work there longer? Of course I
do. I have lost a big sum of money after I left school last April, so I really need to start a new job
somewhere. For me working as an English teacher at a junior high school is better, but I knew it
was impossible to get back to the school work again. So I had been thinking of working at a juku
school that would welcome senior teachers in Chigasaki City. Then a sudden phone call came to
me from the Ebina City Board of Education, which really surprised me a lot.

　I think when they decided to give me a phone call, they should have been worried about my
health. I suddenly quit working in Ebina at the end of April when the new school year had already
started. So I don't think they could have asked me to work for a long time in their city again. If
I were the person in charge of hiring teachers, I would ask me to work for a short time first, and
if I was quite OK for the job, I would aske me again to work longer. Do you think I'm right in
thinking that way? My story is as follows;

　①They suddenly gave me a phone call to see if I was available now.
　②They asked me to come to the board of education immediately.
　③I visited them with some necessary documents.
　④They asked me if it was possible to get a medical check soon.
　⑤I went to the hospital the next day and visited them with a certificate.
　⑥They are now wondering if I'm the right person to work in the school.
　⑦If they decide they can hire me, I'd have to have an interview with the principal.
　⑧I will be asked to visit the school they want me to work for.
　　　(※These things have to be done by the end of this month.)

　If they were not sure that they could hire me as a part-time teacher, I don't think they hadn't
gave me a phone call all of a sudden. On the phone they gave me the name of the school where
I would have to work for. "Arima Junior High School," they told me. If it was their easy mistake
to let me know the name of the school they wanted me to work for, can it happen inside the
city board of education? Well, I can think of many things to come.

I wonder why there are so many grammatical mistakes in the English telops attached to every
scene of the video I come to watch. Don't the editors live in English-speaking countries? Or is it
just that the editors happen to be no good at writing English? It's not so difficult to ask someone
to check the English used for the telops. I hope that they will try to do so next time they show us
their videos. I know even in the English sentences I write I have some grammatical mistakes,
hopefully not many. "You should not intend to be a perfect person," many people might say. But
I don't want to misunderstand the contents of the precious videos.

This poor girl has been seen in Puerto Rey near the parking of Mercadona. She is pregnant and
needs to kept out of the street. She ran over and begged for help one by one, begging for each
car. She is heavily pregnant and can give birth any time. This poor girl is saved now. She can
finally start to give birth now and being a mom. It will be a long night. We're going to name her
"Ana." Ana was very quiet during the night, I went to her every 3 hours to see if everything was
fine. This girl takes all the time she gets to give birth. She went into labor violently... Ana started
giving birth. There are already 6 babies born, still 3 to go. Ana did a great job, she gives birth to
her last baby at. 0:30. Now it's time to rest. She gives birth to 9 healthy beautiful puppies. We
are happy that we could share this beautiful event with her. Sleep well, Ana. This morning she
stands up to eat and drink, she even let her babies alone for a few minutes. She is a great mom.
This morning Ana's new bed arrived. She is really happy now. A few babies their eyes begin to
open, I think about 3 days all the eyes are open. Everything goes well with mom and babies.
Tomorrow they are 4 weeks old. Look at us mom!!!! Ana's babies on Monday 5 weeks old, time
flies. Today it was a special day for us. For the first time in our young lives we left the nest for
a moment. We went on a family trip to the vet for our first vaccinations. They are now 9 weeks
and one day old. Beautiful angels grow fast in the arms of their wonderful nurturers. Thank you
all for bringing them to us.

How does this happen? How long has she been like this? I will never understand how an animal
comes to be in such terrible condition. She was brought to the Vet. She looked awful and so
very afraid. Her skin was even worse than we were expecting. Her eyes were cloudy. We could
see every bone in her body even under the thick layer of hardened scabs. The smell… it was
overwhelming. We decided to name her Blondie. Sweet girl has mange. She was treated with an
oral medication to kill the mites under her skin. Her back has a high arch and she experiences
lameness of the back legs when she walks. Blondie really did love the other little girls. She
followed them around for few minutes before she retreated back to her safe spot. She is still
very afraid of people. As much as I want to hold her and love on her.

improvements each day not only physically but emotionally. We absolutely adore this dog. Blondie
still seems to see the beauty in life even after facing the worst of demons. This little dog is truly
healing not only physically but emotionally. Blondie is soaking up the love & sunshine on this
gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Blondie is so lucky to have you all behind her.

　Although she was a dog, she knew she was not a beautiful dog. She was not as beautiful as other
dogs. But her rescuers let her take medication baths many times so that she could become a
beautiful dog. Congratulations, Blondie. Now you are such a beautiful dog to be loved by everyone.
I sincerely wish Blondie and her friends lots and lots of happiness and good luck and health. May
her future days be merry and bright like on Christmas Day. Please God bless her.

today. She is wet and shivering because it is so so cold. It is very hard to even come across a
dog in the city these days, because the dog catchers were "clearing" the city of them since it's
new year's eve. It is very chaotic in the city today, because of a big new years eve concert in
the open and poor thing that she is, she curled up on a blankets what lady who filmed her bring
her. She could do only that... I sent a friend to go and take her...

She is doing great! And good news she is reserved! Thank you all dear friends who helped her on
New year night! And thank you my dear Sarah for helping her to find a forever home! Day 38: Our
darling frozen girl Lucy is adopted! Thank you so much all of you who helped me with her costs
when I rescued her! And special thanks to dear Sarah who found her perfect home! Thanks all
for your alway support!

　Well, I'm very sorry to say this, but the English telops to each scene are sometimes very hard
to understand because there are so many grammatical mistakes. But if you want to understand
the story of Lucy and Sarah, you just have to watch the video to the very end. Lucy was so lucky
that she was rescued from the coldness of the winter night. I sincerely wish her and her new
adoptive family lots and lots of happiness and good luck and health. I also hope she'll have a happy
new life with her new family. May her future days be merry and bright like on the New Year's Day.

I had nothing to do this afternoon, so I was thinking of going to the Autobacs Ebina to know
something about changing the car tires. I'm planning to buy a new set of all-season tires and
start using them from this spring, because both my winter tires and my summer tires are getting
a little too old to use. Do you know how much I need to do everything about changind the tires?
It will cost me nearly \90,000. I want to make it smaller by looking for cheap all-season tires that
could be bought online. When I buy a new set of all-season tires, the company will send them to
the Autobacs Ebina. The system was establised recently which I want to make the best use of.

　I think I'm going to go to Ebina tomorrow afternoon. I wonder if I use the hubcaps of my summer
tires can also be adapted to the new all-season tires. I don't have good knowledge for taking care
of cars. All I can do is fill the washer liquid tank. That's too funny, isn't it? Ebina is a very delicious
city with so many food shops and restaurants. So while I'm waiting for my turn to talk to the clerk
at the Autobacs Ebina, I'll be able to eat around near Ebina Station. The shop I'd like to visit most
is called Gyoza-no-Osho built in the middle of the field a few years ago. I think the shop first
opened in the Kansai Area. That's why I see a lot of them in the City of Kyoto. Gyoza served there
is so delicious. The set of ramen, gyoza, and fried rice might be the best. I don't think it's good for
those who suffer from diabetes, but it's OK if you don't go there too often. I'm going to write a food
report of Gyoza-no-Osho near Ebina Station after eating gyoza there.

You might be surprised to hear this, but the temperature outside is 0℃. It's 5:35 at present. It's
freezing cold this morning. According to the weather forecast on the computer screen, it's going to
be cloudy occasionally sunny today. Today's Monday when burnable garbages will be collected. I
don't want to go out with the special yellow vinyl bag. I hate to go out on such a cold morning.
　Oh, I made a big mistake. The temperature shown at the foot of the screen indicated that of
Kyoto. Early this morning it was around -1℃ in the eastern area of Kyoto City. Here in Chigasaki
it's about 2℃, not very warm, though. It's going to get warmer toward the end of this week around
here. Not "4 warm days after 3 cold days," but "gradually getting warmer day by day." I heard in
Tokyo the cherry blossoms would be seen first on March 18. It must be very warm then.

　Maybe this video was edited in South Korea. Every time I watch Korean videos, I find it quite
difficult to understand the English telops to each scene. I don't know why. It might be that they
use too difficult words or that they use difficult words in wrong ways or that I'm no good at the
English language. What's the name of the mother dog? What happened to her puppies and her
own life? I sincerely wish her and her rescuer lots and lots of happiness and good luck and
health. I also hope that she will have a happy life for as long as possible. May her future days be
merry and bright like on Christmas Day. Please God bless her and her rescuer.

I ordered a set of 4 car tires (all-season tires) online because it cost me less than buying
tires directly at a retailing shop like Autobacs. In my case, the new all-season tires will be carried
to Autobacs Ebina by March 18 when all the tires will be changed. When I went to Ebina, they
made estimation sheets for the new tires I was supposed to buy there. The cheapest set of all-
season tires would cost me nearly \90,000 which surprised me a lot. This morning I decided to
buy another new set of all-season tires at TIREHOOD online. I cost me a little less than \50,000.
I didn't have to wonder which set I should choose to buy. TIREHOOD and Autobacs started to
cooperate with each other. So I could also make a reservation of the date when the newly bought
tires will be attached to my car. March 18 will be the reserved day. But did you know that all-
season tires are not perfect for all seasons. They're no good for icy frozen roads.

It's been raining since early this morning. It must have been cold rain, but the temperature
itself was not very low. During the morning it was about 9 degrees Celsius. But because of the
rain I felt a little colder inside the house, even if the air-conditioner had been working hard.

　About half an hour ago, I was in a very critical situation. While I was checking the emails in the
mailbox of my computer, I happened to come across a strange address and I was too stupid to
click on it. Then a strange page opened and it advised me to call the phone number shown on the
screen. I was afraid something more strange might happen by doing what the computer told me to.

awful screen had gone completely. I have to know that I should not click on a strange address I
happen to find in the mailbox. And one more thing. Never listen to someone talking on the
computer. And when you can't delete something you don' t want to stay on the computer screen,
the best way is shut down or reboot your computer even though the computer asks you repeatedly
not to do so. What would have happened if I listened to the computer and called the phone number
shown on the screen? Maybe they want to get some personal information from me. Or they might
have tried hard to get some money from me. What a dreadful world we live in!

I was worried about the reservation of changing the winter tires into the new all-season tires at
Autobacs Ebina. Because I made the reservation on TIREHOOD online. Do the staff at Autobacs
Ebina really know about the reservation? Late in the afternoon, I got an email saying that my new
tires had already been on their way to Ebina. So I made a phone call to Autobacs Ebina to make
sure if they really received the reservation from TIREHOOD. Their answer was in the affirmative.
I'm supposed to go to Ebina around noon on March 18. What a relief! But I have to ask them to
throw away both summer tires and winter tires. So I have to pay extra \1,320 for four of them. As
to if I was right in deciding the all-season tires at TIREHOOD, I'm not sure until I use the tires for
a year or so. But this is a good trial and also a good eperience. I'm a little bit sorry that I'm going to

　It was a cold, rainy day, we were tracking a location. They said the puppies really needed urgent
help. The man picked up the tarp and covered them. The 4 puppies were cold and motionless.
The mother dog is exhausted and helpless. And this place is extremely deserted and wet. There
were puppies hiding under her. Their weak cries broke my heart. What heartbreaking thing
happened to this family? The mother dog tried to run after us and beg us. She thought we took
the puppies away. She ran towards the remaining puppies in fear. Their whole bodies were cold
as ice, wet and dirty. The 4 puppies went up the rainbow. We made them little brick houses there.
They are probably happy angels right now. After they finished eating, we hurried on our way. They

I was supposed to visit Arima Junior High School in Ebina City at 3 o'clock this afternoon. I got

my mother-in-law. We haven't met each other for more than 5 years. Because we got divorced,
she hasn't wanted to meet me. But she has changed her attitude. I felt my father-in-law in the

March 20 is my 66th birthday. A young teacher who worked in the former school and I are

I'll be leaving for Autobacs Ebina around 11:00 in the morning. It'll take me about 40 minutes
from here to Autobacs Ebina. I don't want to be late for the appointment. I mustn't forget to take
the 4 hubcaps and all the nuts to attach the hubcaps. It's OK. Everything's in my car already.

　However I was misunderstanding. They've been planning to use the hubcaps for the winter tires
as hubcaps for the all-season tires. So the hubcaps I had in my car was taken by the factory
worker to throw away. So at present it looks like my car is wearing the same winter tires that I
have been using for this winter season. The new tires attached to my car are called all-season
tires, but they're not perfect at all. Even if you're wearing all-season tires, you can't stop your car
safely on the icy frozen roads. It's better than summer tires to run in the snow, though. It's very
difficult to understand the ability of all-season tires when I haven't used them for a long time.

　Not to change the subject, there is a gyudon and curry shop called Sukiya next to Autobacs
Ebina. For today's lunch I ate curry there. It was much more delicious than that of Yoshinoya.
Kokoichi is much better? I can't say that. It's good, but Sukiya curry is as good.

Recently my bood glucose (sugar) level has been a little too hight. When I measured it at 8:55
this morning, it was 176 mg/dL. The ideal level is about 110 mg/dL. So it's a little too high, right?
It's 16:14 now so I'm thinking of going for an evening walk soon. I have three walking courses of
different distances, short, medium, and long courses. So I'm going on a long course today.

　Tomorrow my young friend at the former school and I are going to have a yakiniku party near
Shonandai Station on the Odakyu Line. He successfully passsed the teacher employment exams
last year, and he's going to start working in Kiyokawa Village, which is far away from Ebina City.
So tomorrow we're having a all-you-can-eat yakiniku party to celebrate on his passing the exams.
It's been nearly a year since we said goodbye to each other. So far I have seen a lot of young
temporary teachers who had been trying hard to pass the exams without good results. It's so hard
to pass the teacher employment exams. I believe most of them are good enough to be regular
teachers. Anyway I really want to celebrate his passing of the exams. Will the party be all on me?
Sure it will. That what I promised him to do when we parted a year ago. Once you make a promise
you have to keep it exactly, right? I'm going to pick him up at Shonandai Station at 17:15. I hope
both of us will be there with nothing in our stomachs.

I presented a set of stamps for LINE to both my ex-wife and mother-in-law this evening. At

A family was driving along the mountain path late at night and found a puppy walking alone in
the drizzling rain. The family could leave the dog there and took her back home. They were
afraid that she might have some diseases, so the next day they took her to the vet and asked
the doctor to check her up. She was in complete health. At that time they were not thinking of
keeping the dog at home, because they already had another dog Chihuahua. They were not sure
if they could keep two dogs at home. Then the husband took her to the health care center and
asked them to take care of her until someone wanted to keep her as a pet. However the wife
hurriedly went to the health center to take her back. The night they found the puppy was the
wife's birthday. She thought it was God's idea to let them meet in the mountain. They finally
decided to keep the female dog as a member of their family. They named her "Momiji" because
when they went for a walk in the park, the ground was covered with maple leaves which are
called momiji in Japan. Recently she ate a piece of doll she bit apart and the piece closed the
mouth of the intestine. The doctor decided that she needed surgery. Dad went to see Momiji
every day and after a week she was able to discharge the vet. Every mumber of the family was
worried about Momiji and now she's gradually getting better and better. I was also happy to see
her smiling. Momiji had a miserable childhood, so I really want her to live a happy life to be loved
and cared by the family. But actually Momiji was not a dog abandoned by an unknown owner.
She ran out of the farm nearby with two of her siblings. The two puppies didn't make it and she
was the only one who could survive to be found by the gentle family. I sincerely wish Momiji and
Kotetsu tons of happiness and good luck. I also hope they will have happy days together with
the warm-hearted mom and dad and their three kids for as long as possible. May their future days

It's been cold since this morning. It was drizzling until the middle of this afternoon. My ex-wife
and her mother (my mother-in-law) went to Sushiro at 3:30 in the afternoon. It had already
stopped raining, so I didn't have to take my umbrella with me. Before going out I checked out the
results of Loto 7, Numbers 3, and Numbers 4 on my smart phone. Then I was lucky to get \7,600
with Numbers 3. Maybe my father-in-law in the heaven kindly gave me the luck to pay for all sushi
that we were going to eat at Sushiro. Thanks, Dad. When I got a phone call from my mother-in-law,
asking if it was possible to go to Sushiro to eat lunch together, I had just finished eating lunch. So

been difficult for me to sit in the car to drive. But I had never felt pain while driving a car. But
yesterday I felt pain when I sat in front of the steering wheel. What happened to my back? When?
I had painkilling gel called "Vantelin Kowa Gel" and I applied some to my back. I also bought a box
of compresses and put one on my back. But I still have pain. Will it go away by April 1 when I'm
starting to work at a junior high school in Ebina?

My low back pain still didn't get well. It's difficult for me to sit in front of the computer screen
for a long time. I can walk, but it's not easy for me to bent myself forward.

Last night I took a hot bath, but my back pain didn't go away. I think I'm lucky to be able to get
up from the bed in the morning. If it becomes difficult, it might get difficult to drive a car. I'm
supposed to start working on April 1. I hope the pain will get better soon. This morning I went to
the drugstore to looke for some tablets to get rid of the pain in the back. I found some and bought
it for taking three tablets every day. I'm not sure they will work or not, but let's give them a try.
　I once had a strained back when I was in my thirties. I don't remember exactly when it happened.
So I don't often have lower back pain. Anyway I have to heal the pain during this month. I don't
want to be seen crawling up the stairs at school. That's too funny.

　At my mother-in-law's apartment there is no computer, no wi-fi equipment, but both my ex-wife
and her mother are too busy to complain about the inconvenience inside their residence. I think I'll
have to think about something to make their lives better and more convenient. Please give me some
time to think about it. When I have made Plan A, I'm going to discuss it with my ex-wife and my
mother-in-law. Now that my father-in-law has passed away for about two months, I'd like to do a
lot of things to encourage my mother-in-law and my ex-wife. The dead father was very good to me.

My pain in low back pain hasn't got better yet. So I couldn't write in my English diary either
yesterday or the day before yesterday. I think I'm lucky to be able to drive a car. This morning I took
my ex-wife and her mother to the foodcourt in the department store not far away from Chigasaki
Station. We were going to try Indian curry at one of the shops there. It's name is "Happy" and the
workers there are all from Sri Lanka. Some of my students were from Sri Lanka, so I soon knew
those who were from Sri Lanka when I saw them.

The new school year for students started yesterday. They had an arrival ceremony for new
teachers like me, then the opening ceremony for the new school term, and in the afternoon we
had an entrance ceremony for 7th graders. We had already started working for the new school
year on April 1, getting ready for receiving the students on April 5.

　Did I talk about the word processor software? Now Microsoft's Word is the most popular one
to be installed in the computers we use in the teachers' room, but there are some teachers who
has been used to using Justsystem's Ichitaro. When I was young, it was the most popular
softwareb to be used in the teachers' room. However, something happened to change the trend.
I don't know why. Of course I can guess the reason, but I should not tell.

　So I asked the principal if it was possible to install Ichitaro in to the computer on my desk, and
she thought about it. And they were very thoughful enough to make my wish come true. Now in
the computer given to me in the teachers' room, Ichitaro has been installed, which makes me
extremely happy. I have already made some materials for English lessons using Ichitaro.

I hear they have a smart watch that can measure your blood sugar level without using a special
medical kit. Could it be possible? I checked Amazon and found there were some smart watch of
that kind with the price of about \10,000. But I don't have the nerve to order one from Amazon.
If there's an equipment that is so clever, the doctor at the hospital would be happy to let us use
it. Don't you think so? I don't think I should order the smart watch from Amazon. I think I should
take it in my hand and try to use it before buying the device.

At 11:00 this morning, my ex-wife and my mother-in-law and I went to Sushiro that was next to
my apartment building. I thought we had a lot of sushi, but it cost me less than \5,000 totally. They
love sushi and they looked so happy to be there together. After leaving the sushi shop we went
shopping at Create the drugstore. We bought a lot of things there and it was fun.

It's been such a long, long time since I wrote in my English diary last. Since I started working at
a junior high school in Ebina City, I've been so busy and tired out. Today it's Sunday and I have some
free time to do my job at home. The problem at my back is still there. We're planning to take the
7th grader for camping near Mt. Fuji next month, so I have to get rid of the pain in my back. I hear
they're going mountain climbing during the camping. If I still have my back pain, I'll have to stay at
the camping site without going mountain climbing with the kids. Too bad, right?

This morning I got an email from my ex-wife asking me if I still kept the receit I got when we
purchased fashionable shoes for my ex-wife and her mother. She needed the receipt for applying
for JTB's \5,000 gift. I went to their complex after stopping at Seven Eleven and bought hot chicken
and icecream, but she had just left for shopping. I could see her bus but it was too late. That's OK.
She'll be back from her shoppking looking forward to the icecream and chicken.

Today our country has started the so-called Golden Week, which all the people in Japan have
been waiting for. I've been incredibly exhausted for the last week. Every night when I got home I
was too tired to take a bath. So I woke up at 4 o'clock the next morning and took an early bath,
which made me even more tired. But today I feel my fatigue has gone awan just because I was
happy about the start of the Golden Week. At 5:20 this afternoon, my ex-wife and her mother and
I are planning to go to "Yumean" where I have already reserved a table. Yumean is a Japanese
food restaurant. They have a lot of delicious food in the menu. I've prepared a lot of money for
all of us to have expensive delicious food. They're also very happy to enjoy Japanese food there.

Now a young woman of mixed Spanish and Japanese. I thought she was born in the Philippines
but I was wrong. She was born in Yokohama. So she speaks and understands Japanese, not very
much. However she can laugh when she hears our jokes in Japanese.

　I'm already 66 years old, so when I was younger no one else could speak English as well as me.
But these days younger teachers are such good speakers of English. My English is still not so bad,
though. I know I should be too much proud of my English ability.

　The two brother and sister were very much scared of rescuers when they first saw them coming
closer. It took them a few days to catch the puppies, but soon they got used to them. They were
so beautiful and looked so healthy. I was very happy to see them getting very close to the rescuers.
They were taken photos for adoption. I really hope that they'll be adopted by good gentle people
and will be able to have happy days in a new adoptive family.

Today is one of our national holidays "Showa Day," which started as "Emperor's Birthday" in
1949. Then its name was changed into "Greenery Day" when the Emperor passed away in 1989.
And from 2007 it was called "Showa Day." The government didn't want to affect the so-called
Golden Week by changing the holidays, so they just changed the name of the holiday. But in this
world there are many people who can just enjoy the Golden Week and at the same time there are
so many poor people who cannot stop working during the holidays. I'm a school teacher, so I can
take the long holidays. I'm very sorry for my ex-wife and her mother who has to go to work even
during the Golden Week. So we're planning to go to Sushiro on Sunday, May 5. I hope they're
looking forward to eating sushi on Children's Day.

I could have three holidays in a row, which made my back pain a little easier. Tomorrow we
have school and I have to teach 3 classes. And the day after tomorrow will be the School
Foundation Day. It's a holiday for kids, but teachers have to go to school.
